The Uganda Family Retreat is an opportunity for Ugandan adoptive families to gather and form community, learn from culture and adoption experts, and develop lifelong friendships. A mix of large group activities and workshop sessions for both children and adults will provide a balance of time for learning and connecting.

Raleigh, NC is the state capital and is situated in the heart of the Research Triangle. With major universities and museums, an extensive park system and a lively restaurant scene, there is much for families to do in the area. Events for the weekend will be held in both Raleigh and right on its western border in the neighboring town of Cary where our group hotel is located and where workshops will be held. ACCOMMODATIONS

A group rate of $129/night has been arranged at SpringHill Suites in Cary, conveniently located off I-40 and I-440. All suites include a microwave and mini-fridge and a pull-out sofa and are great for families. Daily breakfast is included with the room as well as evening drinks and appetizers. Several restaurants are within walking distance and dozens more as well as a park and shopping center are within a mile.

Registration

Early-bird registration is $350 per family through May 31st. General registration is $400 beginning June 1st.

Registration includes all workshops, Friday evening’s casual welcome dinner, and pizza dinner/child care for kids on Saturday night. Childcare for children ages 0-3 is included during Saturday and Sunday’s workshop sessions.
